This is the storage notes conference, not the OpenVMS conference:
VAXAXP::VMSNOTES is a better spot for OpenVMS questions.
: There is a strategic VMS installed base who need more detail
: information about how to writing Device Driver with VMS AXP.
If this is a strategic OpenVMS Alpha site, I'd suspect there are
better support channels than a notes conference...
: But, I don't have the privilege to access VMS Notes file.
Huh? VAXAXP::VMSNOTES is accessable -- I can only assume you are
trying to access a restricted notes conference, or that you have
   an incorrect file specification...

: Could you help to forward the follwing questions to the right
: person or department? Thanks ahead!
:
: 1. The customer need the book "VMS for Alpha Platform: Internals and
: Data Structure". What's the order number?
This particular book is available from Digital Press. (DP is an
imprint of Butterworth Heinemann.) Contact DP and request this
book, or request a catalog, etc.
        US & Canada URL http://www.bh.com/bh/dp
        UK & Europe URL http://www.butterworth.heinemann.co.uk
The folks at the local DIGITAL call center (1-800-DIGITAL; that's the
US-centric telephone number) should also be able to get your customer
   copies of this book, too.

: 2. Where can find detail information about "CSR_MAPPING" Routine which
: is mentioned in VMS Document of "OpenVMS AXP Device Support:Develo-
: per's Guide"
If that book has "AXP" in the title, it's definitely outdated: please
get the V7.1 OpenVMS documentation set -- there is new device driver
documentation included in the V7.1 release.
And if the customer is a strategic development site, consider getting
   them involved in ASAP (http://www.partner.digital.com/www-swdev/).
Also get them a copy of the OpenVMS source listings CD-ROM set.
(This CD-ROM set is available for purchase from the Software Supply
Business -- SSB -- for various OpenVMS releases.)
As for getting part numbers, the entire documentation set is available
online for internal users -- though the internal copies should not be
released to customers -- and the documentation set includes a "Guide
to the Documentation Set" manual, which contains documentation manual
names and part numbers, and documentation kit part numbers.
