This is not possible in V3.1/V3.1A

It has been added to the MTE for V3.2

The workaround is to cut/paste the structure,
as many times as the structure occurs,
renaming each structure & cut/paste the relevant
assignments/maps again with the relevant structure
    name changes applied.

| 3007.2 | Hoe do you rename pasted copies? | CSC32::B_ALTMIRE |  | Wed Feb 12 1997 15:47 | 6 |
| | Richard,
I cut and pasted the structure the required number of times but how do
you rename the pasted copies of the structure. Whatever I try results
in an application error and kicks me out of the table?

This 'Application Error', Could you describe it further?
What version of Windows?, Win32S?, CommandCenter?

    I have tested this with CCV3.1 & CCV3.1A both on Win95 and
am able to modify the structure name in both the edit bar
    and the structure attributes dialogue.

    Thanks
    Richard

| | Richard,
I was able to to get it done by deleting the the added structures
and then renaming the original, cut and paste it and renaming the
pasted one and repeating the above till I had 3 strucutres. I no longer
have the original error message. I went back into the table to
reproduce but what happens is I go into record layouts I see the 3
duplicated structures, however if I try to select any 1 of the 3 to try
renaming the strucure it gets cut from the layout. When I continue
renaming it and click on the check mark I get an application error
which looks the same as the error I was getting yesterday. The error
reads "APPLICATION ERROR EDIMAP caused a General Protection Fault in
module EDIMAP.EXE at 0002:2FAB." The only option from there is to close
and it kicks me out of the table as it was doing yesterday. I compiled
the table yesterday but have not had time to test it yet.

Windows and command center are both 3.1.
    Thanks,
    Bill

| | Sounds like you've fallen foul of a drag and drop bug in the Mapping
Table Editor, something I fixed for V3.2.
