Where did my Ethernet controller go?!
I have a Celebris GL 6200 that has been working without any problem on
the network for several weeks now.
But, after just rebooting the system my integral ethernet controller
appears to have disappeared!?
MyComputer-->Properties shows only a DialUp Network Adapter
Additionally, the system is running V1.04 of the BIOS. When I boot and
to into the BIOS the ADVANCED screen does not have a selection for the
Integral Ethernet controller. Anoter Celebris GL 6200, also running
B1.04 of the BIOS, DOES have a selection for the Integral Ethernet
controller on the ADVANCED screen.
HELP!!!! I am dead in the water without being able to connect to the
network. In the meantime I am going to try installing a DE450
controller but sure would like to get this problem fixed.
Please either reply here, send mail to WHYNOW::NEWMAN or feel free to
give me a call at DTN 223-5795.

Well, it gets more interesting...
I powered down my system and rebooted. First time, same problem.
Second time, the BIOS showed the Integrated Ethernet option in the
advanced screen, on bootup the system autodetected the integral
ethernet controller, the bootup finished and all seems well.
Any ideas what might have happened?
