	A couple of itmes in the past few days I've received a "File not
	found" error when trying to access this conference. However, this
	was remedied by accessing the file through

	oobie::oobie$dka200:[notes$Library]boston_celtics

	rather than the usual oobie::boston_celtics.

	One explanation I can think of for this behavior is that the
	notes$library logical is not defined the same for all nodes in the
	cluster, so the "file not found" message may or may not appear,
	depending which node I end up getting when I access the conference.

	Just thought I'd mention the problem...

    I don't know what to tell you.  It works for me.  What kind of error
    message are you getting?  Perhaps your network database is out of date
    and doesn't recognize the node the conference is on .

    The BASEBALL and RED_SOX conferences are in need of new homes.  If you
    can take one or both, contact Jeff (PLUGH::) Needle.

	I wonder if TCM would mind putting RED_SOX on METSNY::

about it.  They had system problems or something, I don't know.... It might

    SI in its Swim suit issue had a big spread on some big skating event
    (U.S. Championships?) almost as big as the gals themselves.
    
    Anybody want the issue?  I can remember when SI put a lot of good
    writing into that specific issue since a lot of browsers would buy it.

  That was the U.S. Nationals in Providence. It's the same event at which
Kerrigan was attacked last year. The winners make the national team and go on
to the "Worlds" and in Olympic years they make up the Olympic team.

  It's on the stands just about everywhere, but before you spend the money be
warned, for some reason Elle McPherson is not in this year's issue.

    I meant I have it, my wife subscribed for me; I like it around this
    time of year for the ncaas and all the playoffs.
    
    Speaking of the wife she was all excited about Michigan St. beating
    Michigan last night.  In the last seconds a state player inexplicably
    put his hands on a Mich. player with no call.  Michigan moved down and
    launched a 3 pter to no avail.  I told her a foul is a foul and it
    should have been called, but managed to escape with minor bruises.
    
    State won if you didn't catch it but no big 10 team is a threat this
    year.

    For what?  The national title?  Maybe, maybe not.  I think you
    "outsiders" will be a little surprised to see just how good a few of
    these Big 10 teams (and the depth they have) are come tournament time.

Could be true Spud.  But it's usually been the case that when a conference
is *regarded* as having a down year, they prove it to be true in the
tournament.  The '92-93 BE is a case in point.

  I'm not so sure. She was on the cover last year and that was after Sirens
had been out for quite some time.

    My big-10 comments were based on simple observation - something never
    very reliable in college baskets.  Minnesota may be the team to watch
    from that conference.
    
    I worry about the conferences that allow a lot of contact like BE and
    Big 10 when they get to the tourney and possibly have to adjust to
    different officials.  Plus they have to recruit the football type
    bodies to handle the pounding but in the tourney the officials are
    going to want to showcase pure talent.

  Maybe, but I seem to remember having seen the movie before last year's issue
came out. Maybe not but somehow I doubt they'd keep her out of the issue just
because of that movie. That would be just a tad hypocritical.

    is moving from HLO to LJO (Littleton). He starts in Littleton today.
    So when he gets a new node address. It will be back and running. It
    might take a week or two for everybody's network database to get

KEPTIN did a shuffle a few DECnet areas to the right.  Either
get your DECnet database updated, use  [email protected],
or 4469::golf.
