| | That was one of the configurations we tested extensively (almost
exclusively on Windows 95) here. The documentation is in the Getting
Started manual. Just remember to select TCP/IP when installing the
    Colorwriter LSR software.

| | I was looking at the Getting started manual, and all it had was to set
up Windows 95 in a Novell IPX environment and a parallel interface
    connection.

Can somebody point me to right documentation set?

    thanks,

    Bobby C.

| | I missed the first half of your question. You can use the utilities
over IP on a Windows 95 system but you cannot print directly from
Windows 95 to the Colorwriter over TCP/IP. You need to set up a server
queue (NT, OpenVMS, etc.) and then connect to that share name to print
the document. That isn't documented but it's basically the same steps
as the IPX setup, except that in steps 2 you make sure IP is enabled,
and steps 7 and 8 you browse the network for the queue share.

The utilities do work directly over TCP/IP to the Colorwriter.

To print to the LSR2000 from Win95 directly you can use a piece
of SHAREWARE called WLPRSPL. With this shareware you can create
a spool file that points directly to the LSR printer.

     The shareware files reside on

       CPTS11::CPTS11$DKA100:[DRIVERS_SERVICE.DEC.LSR2000.W95]*.*

Setting up takes a little time but should not present any problems.

NOTE: Normal shareware rules apply, use the software and pay the fee !!

     Mark.
