| ummm.. I may be missing something here, but 1) you want a driver for
your 8X NEC cdrom, but 2) note in passing that the CDROM player works
under WINDOWS95.
if it works, why would you need the drivers?

| �I already checked the NEC site.
You apparently didn't check it thoroughly enough... a search of the
site for "driver" points to a file which is said to be the DOS
installation disk for Multispin 4V, 6V and 8V CD-ROM drives. Is this
what you have? The file would be at
ftp://ftp.nectech.com/ftp/pub/peripherals/cd-rom/ide_dos.exe
there are plenty others, if this is not correct...
