At our office in Best i had the problem with a 4-pole adaptor into the
PTT plug to mij DEC 14.4 fax modem : NO DIALTONE
Another simmulat adaptor worked fine. Looking for the difference i
found that the RED wire was going to B of the PTT plug and the GREEN
wire was going to A.
So if you have NO DIALTONE, try to switch A and B
