    ECP for OpenVMS v4.0
    
    In Workload Analysis, Read Data, when changing the filter from *.MERG
    to, in this case, *.MERG2, the customer files were displayed as
    selectable.  One of these was selected to read, whereupon was displayed
    "error opening file" with Help suggesting it was a protection issue
    (always the first thing to check, right?).  Well, going for overkill,
    $Set Process/Priv=All  and ownership checked to ensure user reading
    files also owned them, O:RWD and W:RWED set as well.
    
    Still, the "error opening file".
    
    Upon renaming the files from *.MERG2 to *.MERG, changing the filter
    in Read Data to *.MERG, and selecting the file, all was well.
    
    
    Just something to take note of.
