Thanks for that reply. However, during the install I get the following
set of warnings from the linker :-
%ECP-I-BUILDING, Linking EVM Components...
Please ignore the following Link warnings.
 +------------------------------------------------------------------------+
%LINK-W-WRNERS, compilation warnings
        in module PSDC$ETFSHR file $4$DKE0:[SYS0.SYSUPD.ECP040]EVM.OLB;26
%LINK-W-NUDFSYMS, 1 undefined symbol:

%LINK-W-USEUNDEF, undefined symbol MMG$GL_FRESVA referenced

        in module PSDC$ETFSHR file $4$DKE0:[SYS0.SYSUPD.ECP040]EVM.OLB;26
%LINK-W-SHRWRNERS, compilation warnings

%LINK-W-WRNERS, compilation warnings

And when I try to use the ETF routines in that shareable image from my own
program, the machine crashes. Presumably, the undefined symbol has something to
do with it ...
Thanks
/Ian

| | Ian,

EVM will not be supported on VMS v7.x until the MUP release in late
March. However, the weekly build avaiable for internal use will be
    available sometime in February.

    	Regards,
