Hi,
We have on our site 2 domains where in domain "A" the PDC is Windows NT,
in Domain "B" the PDC is Pathworks V5.0d eco2. Domain "A" in account domain, the clients are
Windows 95 machines.
We wanted to move into only one UAS database (meaning trust between domains).
We know that Pathworks V5XX do not know how to trust domains, so, we have installed a Windows NT
machine in Domain "B" as a PDC and the Pathworks Role in the domain is BDC.
We have established a trust relationship between the domains, where domain "B" (resource domain)
trust domain "A" ( accounting domain).
We addad to the group users* (PW all users) the group DomainA\domain users ( after creating on
domain "A" all the accounts that existed on domain "B". and deleted the accounts from domain "B".
The problem is that the Pathworks server do not recognize the users existing on Domain "A".
When trying to access a share on the pathworks server the access is denied, even when looking at the
group users* from the pathworks machine it doesn't show the DomainA\Domain Users.
The same user do not have any problem to connect to the PDC of Domain "B", only to the pathworks
server on this domain.
Domain "A" DOMAIN "B"
---------- ----------
trust
Windows NT (PDC)------------> Windows NT (PDC)
Pathworks 5.0d eco2 (BDC)
* for a good reason Domain "B" can not be the accounting domain.
Any help would be appreciated,
Danny.

that's the definition of "not doing trusts" -- a PWv5 server can't be
part of your resource domain as it won't know anything about the
account domain's userlist.
(by the way, your arrow's drawn "backwards" if I'm understanding your
question; the arrow "usually" points from the resource domain to the
accounts domain)
