    Hi,

Is V 1.2 SMFS V7.1 compliant? Customer is currently running
    MDMD V2.8A - which is V7.1 compliant.

    Thanks,

No -- absolutely not. SMF includes privileged code which accesses VMS
data structures such as IRPs, UCB, and FCBs. Some of these data
structures have changed, which would require recompilation.

And to answer your next question, I don't know if or when a V7
compatible version will be available. If you believe this is a
requirement, please send mail to Dan Barrett, COOKIE::BARRETT, the SMF
    product manager.

    - Dan.
