| Not required for NT or W95 - the O/S will just connect them.
For Win 3.1/WFW, you need a copy of Easy-SCSI 3.0 or later, from
Adaptec. This is not shareware, freeware, etc - it must be purchased.

I just installed this drive yesterday and noticed that when booting up
in DOS, the controller see the drive but doesn't assign a drive letter
to it. Shouldn't it? I also tried to install WNT4.0 as well but
complains about the disk not being ready. I tried reseating the disk
etc..still has a problem. This is on a DECpc XL Server 566 which claims
to be supported in the HCL. The part that I don't know is if this box
ever had a CDROM in it and who the manufacturer was. If that really
makes a difference. I looked up on Toshiba's home page for the driver
for that model and they claim that the driver only works with Future
Domain SCSI adapters. Now, if they didn't have a driver for an
Adaptec/Toshiba combo, did we do it internally or maybe we never
had that combo? Was it ever supported in the company?

If you're looking at it in the DOS domain, you have to either run
EZSCSI to install the CD for you or install it manually yourself.
If you're loading NT 4.0, use the latest Adaptec drivers from the
7800 Manager set. Skip auto detection and manually load the drivers
from diskette.
There should be no problem with this CD.
