1798.0. "Any specific plans for NUM1$ function?" by CSC32::B_KILLEAVY () Sat May 10 1997 19:57
Hello,
A customer says that he has been avoiding using the NUM1$ function in
programs because at one time he saw in the documentation that it was a
declining feature. He doesn't know exactly where he saw it.
I can't find any reference to this in the current documentation (November 1994
reference and user manuals), the DECBASIC notes conference, this conference,
or release notes back to version 3.0.
Have I missed something? Was this once in the docs and has since been removed?
Are there plans to get rid of num1$? Is the customer maybe mistaken?
Thanks in advance for any input.

|  | Brian,
	There are no plans that I know of to remove NUM1$ from DEC BASIC.
