  I have questions.

  I have read DECNIS Management Guide V3.1 and have some
  questions about two characteristics of Routing entity.

  - Maximum IP L1 Destinations
  - Maximum IP L2 Destinations

  In the Management Guide P8-44, these are described as

    Characteristics	Explanation			Associated Status
  ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Maximum IP L1	Total number of unique IP	CURRENT IP L1
    DESTINATIONS	addresses in the same area as	DESTINATIONS
			the DECNIS.			PEAK IP L1
							DESTINATIONS

    Maximum IP L2	Total number of area addresses	CURRENT IP L2
    DESTINATIONS	in the same routing domain as	DESTINATIONS
			the DECNIS.			PEAK IP L2
							DESTINATIONS
  ------------------------------------------------------------------------

  In this explanation, what is meaning of "the area" ?
  Is this a DECnet area or OSPF area or something else?

  And DECNIS V3.1 has no Associated Status like CURRENT IP L1 DESTINATIONS.
  That only has a CURRENT/PEAK IP DESTINATIONS, no Levels classified.

  What status should I refer.

The 'area'  is  the  DECnet/OSI area.  So 'L1 destinations' is the number of
unique IP destinations within a DECnet/OSI area and 'L2 destinations' is the
number  of  unique  IP  destinations  that  a  DECNIS  will learn from other
DECnet/OSI areas.

For the  status  attributes,  all IP destinations are lumped together.  This
includes all the destinations learnt from RIP/EGP/OSPF/ISIS etc.

  How DECNIS recognize what DECnet/OSI area the IP reoute belongs.
  
  I think the IP route and DECnet/OSI area have no relations.
  Therefore, for example, OSPF can not carry the information 
  about DECnet/OSI area.
  
  Could you correct me?
  Any helps appreciated.
