| I respond myself because somebody told me the right things to do...
1. from the Router configurator database read the filename created by
the "NEW" option
2. copy that file from the PC that you are unig to the new one
3. when you use the "new" option (in the new PC), write down, in the
File Name, the file just copied.

If you want to copy an individual router configuration then reply .1
is right. These instructions are in the release notes (and I have
pasted the full text at the end of this note also).
By repeating the copy/move of a collection of router configurations
then you effectively move the database. This is the most reliable
way of changing the path/location of the files.
If you realy did mean that you wanted to copy the "database" then the
proceedude is more involved. I will explain....
The "Browser" database is actually a Microsoft Access database file that
holds about � dozen items than allows the software to locate the datafile
where the bulk of the config data is stored, look for a file called
BROWSER.MDB
The best way to copy this file is to move the whole directory where you
installed Router Configurator together with ALL the data files
You MUST make sure that the full filename/path to all data files remains
the same since the browser database contains this information and those
same paths will be used after it has been copied.
For example if the data was stored in c:\rconfig\rf123456 on the source PC
it must have that filename and path on the new system.
To see the filename of the data files you will need to
(for V1.0) edit the BrowserVw.ini file as follows
COLUMN ENABLED FILENAME YES
COLUMN WIDTH FILENAME 50
(for V2.0) Use the Show Data File Menu option (with browser window topmost).

[Info: ] Copying the configuration file for a Router
In this version of the router configurator it is possible to copy the
Router Configurators Data File. This would allow, for example, files to be
moved to another system.
Note that although this method will also allow a copy of a routers
configuration to be made it will not remove any of the addresses defined in
the configuration of the router. In order to avoid duplicating network
addresses on different router systems you should remove all network and
interface addresses either before copying the router data, or before
editing the copy of the router data.
If you plan to use this feature to configure many routers from a standard
configuration template then only include the general information in the
template configuration and add network addresses after making the copy.
The two methods you can use to copy a configuration to another PC, or user
are as follows:
1/ a) in the browser make sure you can see the Data File Name column
b) from DOS/explorer/file manager copy the Data File for the configuration
you want to move/copy to its new location.
c) When the file has been copied to the second PC then on that PC use the
new router dialog to create a configuration.
d) In the new router dialog type the name of the copied file into the
field for the Data File Name (or use browse to find it)
On leaving this field you should note that the hardware type combo box
is greyed out.
e) set the software version/type as desired.
f) click OK. The new configuration on the second PC should then have a copy
of the configuration.
2/ If you have it, you can use Microsoft Mail to replace steps a,b,c above.
a) open the configuraiton you want to copy.
b/ use the router menu for MAIL - select the destination/recipient and send.
c/ when received file the object from Mail in a file on the new PC
Then repeat steps d to f above.
