In the DECswitch Enterprise RMON Upgrade SPD (61.33) it states:
"Switching and RMON can be enabled simultaneously on any or all ports;
also, either, or both functions can be disabled on any or all ports."
Can I take this at face-value to mean that I can turn switching off for
any or all ports, and use the DECswitch purely as a multi-port RMON
probe?
Thanks
Jeannie
(Any update on availability of this upgrade???)

yes, you can disable forwarding on all ports and enable Enhanced RMON on
all Ethernet ports on a DECswitch 900 EF, EE, or FO. So,
essentially you would have a 6 port Ethernet RMON probe.
Basic RMON functionality (stats, history, alarms, events) on all of these
switches is always enabled on every port.

I missed this question in my last reply :) The Enterprise RMON
firmware upgrades for the DECswitch 900 EF, EE, and FO were
released in August and are now available to purchase.
The firmware version for all three products is 1.7.0R.
