Hi all,

can anybody tell me what this message means, when monitorin a 
decbridge 900 ef with clear vision router manager ??


I can see Ethernet SQE Test Errors as major alarm on the alarm monitor !
  
(whith state degraded)

2 related questions :

1) alarm monitor is reporting this errors only  on bridge ports which are
 connected to  the backplane !

2) Why is a bridge concearned about things like heartbeat  ??

3) why only ports connected to the backplane ???

can anybody explain this to me ?
