Has anyone seen a problem with a DR900TM security setup.
Version 2.0.0. Don't know the version of the MAM module.
A customer is telling me that he has setup security on a DR900TM so
that for example port A2 can use the network only if's address is
08-00-2b-01-02-03. If not disable port. He tells me that about once
every 2 to 3 days the port gets locked out (disabled) because it saw
another address such as 08-00-2b-04-05-06. This address is not a
phantom address but a real address that either sits on the Flex-Channel
that the DR900TM is connected to.
I said to him to move the station above connected from port A2 to
port say D3 and see what happens, to find out if it was a DR900TM
hardware failure of the ASIC chip or some such thing. He did that and
now for 3 weeks he hasn't seen the problem.
Before I make the conclusion that my customer's problem is one
where the DR900TM has developed a H/W failure, I thought I will ask
others via this conference if anyone else has seen anything similar.
