| | I assume the first problem involves MultiChassis Manager - is this correct?
For the second, did you check that your community string is correct?

| | Also for problem #2 - have you assigned an IP address to the switch?

    I was trying to set the gateway address of the 900EF via MultiChassi
    Manager.

    RMON: I have the proper read, and write communitiy names set as well as
    having an ip address defined for in-line managemt (It responds to
    multichassi manager). I get the error when trying to look at "traffic
    monitor", "data capture", and "protocol manager". Does 1.6.1 allow
    full RMON capabilities?

| 3726.4 | What's the filename of the rev 1.6.1 image? | NETCAD::BATTERSBY | Don't use time/words carelessly | Mon Jul 22 1996 11:12 | 10 |

    I suspect that you may have the basic RMON image (4 basic groups),
    that I think was released recently. I'm not sure if the full
    RMON image is released yet. Someone else may be able to chime in
    here verifying whether the full RMON image is available yet.
    Perhaps if you provide the file name of the image loaded to the
    DECswitch it would then be apparent what RMON coverage your
    DECswitch has.

    of ClearVisions. The file name is defba161.bin

    Is There a full RMON version available under beta???? I would like to
    test it out.  Thanks, Mike

| 3726.6 | You have the image with the free 4 basic rmon groups... | NETCAD::BATTERSBY | Don't use time/words carelessly | Tue Jul 23 1996 09:29 | 5 |
| | Mike, yes you have the 1.6.1 rev of DEFBA code with the 4 basic
    rmon groups thrown in for free. I don't know what the status of
    the full rmon image is. I'll contact you off-line.
