    The clearVISN announcement made reference to a firmware upgrade to the
    DECswitch 900 that will allow for RMON information to be obtained from
    the switch.
    
    Is this firmware available on the net and if so where.

    The RMON upgrade for DECswitch900EF is available for purchase under the
    order number QB-56RAB-SA, List $1500.  One required per DECswitch900EF
    
    The clearVISN RMON Manager software to fully talk to these 9-RMON
    groups is available as QB-218AD-SA, List $2995. One required per
    network.
    
    The above order numbers are Win-NT+Win-95 version, license and media.

This is for the 9 group RMON (aka "full RMON") upgrade.

There will also be a free firmware version which contains support for
RMON Alarms, Events, Statistics, and History on all the Ethernet ports.
This version is not available yet.

The Statistics and History groups will be supported by the Multi-chassis 
Manager (aka HUBwatch).  Users will be able to read the Statistic and 
History information which is enabled by default on the switch.  User's 
can not create/delete/modify Statistics and History information.  (More 
extensive support is still on the list of things to do in a future 
release, but is not scheduled.)

I'm not sure how the Alarm and Event groups will be supported.  I hope
they're supported by clearVISN RMON Manager ($2995).  It's unfortunate
that Alarm and Event support isn't built into HUBwatch.  Again, I'm
not sure how they're supported.  Maybe someone else can help?
