During the upgrade of several hubs. concentrators, switches,.. from
version 3.1 to 4.1 with HUBloader on concentrator failed. The load was
done via MAM and after succesful download (as HUBloader sad) the modul
was displayed as SW=unknown. The hub display shows concentrator as
    "programloadneeded".
I know from this conference, that i.e. DECswitch 900EF can be loaded
via port 2 from the BOOTP server.

Do I have the same posibility with DECconcentrator 900MX?

    Thanks,
    Tomas

| Okay, just try the MAM assisted load again. It will take a minimum of
9 minutes to complete. Make sure you wait long enough for the whole
process to complete. Once the firmware is loaded to the MAM it must
then send it to the concentrator as a second step. Maybe hubloader was
saying the the first part was done.

| 2970.2 | Hmmm. | DECPRG::KUPKA | Wed Nov 15 1995 10:34 | 8 | |
| Hmmm. If I have got a message FILE_WRITEN_TO_LINE_CARD during the
device pool, I would expect everything was written. The messages on the
hub display say something like loading, assisted load finished, status
unknown (device reset) and than needprogramload.

Anyway, thanks. We swapped the module.

| Hmmm.. Sounds like you did the right thing. Could be the flash was bad.
