2564.0. "ProbeWatch SLIP and Duplicte IP address" by BACHUS::VANDENBERGHE () Wed Jul 26 1995 11:24
	Hi,
It is mee again with 3 questions:

	1. As already asked previously can someone explain CLEARLY what can be
	done with the SLIP interface:
What mean MANAGE, MONITOR as mentionned in the documentation.
Is it as for the DEChub, to use ProbeWatch to
monitor a Ethernet Segment but via the SLIP port or is the SLIP port
only there to send TRAP by activating a modem (+Hayes command).
	2. Did someone really manage to start the SLIP interface (even with
version 2.6 of the firmware which should support a partial modem
connection using the Patwhork SLIP or Chameleon IP stack, I couldn't
	make that connection).
Should I have to specify in the agent_options for interface 2 slip_port
on and slip_ip on ? etc..
In one word if it works how should people have to configured it.
	3. Did someone be able to detect duplicate IP address, using f/w 2.6 I
can now list host on IP or DECnet address.
I can also configure the probe to send trap, but by working with 2
systems having the same IP address (same network as for the probe) with
a domain installed for IP NET, I was not able to receive a trap (DUPIP
	file well configured etc..).

	Thanks in advance,
	Robert
