    when trying to capture data with the latest probewatch for osf and
    packetprobe 90, i get the error "nqlapi: Agent Error: Variable contains
    bad value --> bufferControlMaxOctetsRequested.4096"

    any clues as to what its trying to say. the same packetprobe from
    ultrix will capture data just fine..

    thanks in advance

| 2417.1 | not enough memory in probe? | NAC::FORREST | Thu Jun 29 1995 16:59 | 14 | |
|     Frontier says

    "This will happen if the agent does not have enough free memory to
    allocate the requested buffer size. Reducing the requested buffer
    size may do the trick. You can check the amount of free memory in
    bytes using the "get dump free_mem" command from command-line mode in
    Remote Login.

    You should also have seen a dialog box saying "No resources in Agent"

    If it worked on ULTRIX, perhaps you were requesting a smaller buffer
    size?
