    Hello,
    
    I have a DEChub 900 , DECswitch 900EF, DECserver 900TM, DECrepeator 90C
    PC with Etherwork 3 turbo. All modules inserted in the DEChub 900.
    
    From the manual it said that the DECswitch 900EF support as inbound
    management. I tried to make connect from my PC with TP cable to the
    DECswitch 900EF and manage it with Hubwatch V 3.1. I got no response
    from the agent. While I borrow a DECrepeator 900 TM from other
    department, it work very nice. What should I do to make the DECswitch
    900EF work for inbound management. Currently, we do not have budget to buy
    the DECrepeator 900 TM. I want to use the DECswitch for the inbound

Raphael,

The TP ports on the DECswitch 900EF are NOT repeater ports.  See the *many*
discussions in this notesfile of which cable connects to which module/port.  You
probably need to eliminate or add one crossover in your cabling to the switch.

I assume you have assigned the hub an in-band IP address while specifying the
slot number of the switch as the IP services module.

    One way to tell if the cable is wrong is to see the LEDs corresponding
    to that port - they won't come on.

    Thanks The symtom is there. It should be the cable problem. I tried to
    borrow a cable from other department, unfortunately, no one got it. I
    did make order the crossed TP cable. I am waiting the cable to test
