| | You are apparently missing something. What you are trying to do is legal,
and HUBwatch will manage it.

| | Out of curiosity, what platform is HUBwatch running on? This seems to be a
somewhat frequent problem on the PC/Windows platform. If it is HUBwatch for
Windows, you might want to check some of the other notes in here regarding
getting HUBwatch to talk to a device when PING works OK.

| | I am amazed that you have anything working with a DECswitch 900EF and
a DEChub ONE-MX docking station since the DECswitch 900EF does not have
the proper firmware for supporting a docking station with MOD-PMDs!
The PEswitch 900TX is the only currently shipping FDDI module that can
use the FDDI ports on the DEChub ONE-MX docking station. Are you using
the MOD-PMD ports on the DEChub ONE-MX or the front panel FDDI ports on
the DECswitch itself. The DECswitch 900EF should be able to draw power
OK but accessing the MOD-PMD ports on the DEChub ONE-MX and other mgmt
niceties will not be there until Wave 3
