Hi,
Had an interesting problem pop up wihtin the last few days. The dechub 900
was installed wiht 4 power supplies. The customer attempted to add a ds900tm
and was returned a status message that he could not add it because "not enough
power to add module". Is there any bug with version 3.1 that does not calculate
the total aggregate power of the dechub 900. Oh by the way the fix was to power
recycle the dechub 900 to calculate it's power consumption.

[you went way over 80 columns, there - makes it hard to read]

The easiest way for this to happen is to have a connector problem on
the large lower backplane connector; some of those pins are used by the
management module to 'read' the power requirements of a newly inserted
module so that it can decide whether or not to grant it power. If one
or more pins are not connected properly it can get a reading way above
the correct one and decide that there is not enough to meet the
    request.
