    Why doesn't an agents file already exist in
    C:\probew directory?

    When I try to add an agent into Probewatch it won't take the
    IP address complaining that it can't be longer than 8 characters,
    so I put in the name but it can't find the Agent File to Resolve it.

    What is the format of this file and what should it be named?

    thanks

    Rob

| It sounds like you have installed an older kit; I think that version
    had to be installed in \NSCLIENT or something like that. Anyway, it
    is looking elsewhere, probably in a directory that doesn't exist, for
    the Agent file. It only takes names, not IP addresses.

    You might be better copying the latest kit from the same directory;
    make sure you read the README.TXT file first.

| 1621.2 | Max # of agents? | SNOFS1::KHOOJEANNIE | Mon Apr 15 1996 03:27 | 4 | |
| What is the maximum number of packetprobes that can be placed into the
    agent file? Any limit on the number of agent groups as well as agents?
