1574.0. "Reset Hub lost connection?" by TRN02::PIOVANO (I want to wreck free...) Fri Oct 14 1994 05:23

    Hi at all,
I'm new to HUB management, and our customer need to change the
    TCP/IP addreess of an HUB900.

The HUB is the network core of a delivery GAS system.

The question is: Changing the address (via console) may affect the
    		     live connections between modules ?

I.e. If I have a lat link beetween an host connected via
    	     DECrepeater900 and a port on a DECserver900, it will
be adversely affected by resetting the Hub?

The importance of question is not secondary, because the customer
control the bigger GAS delivery network in Italy.

Any hints will be greatly apreciated!

    				Ciao

| | Resetting the DEChub 900 manager should not affect any connections on any
of the hub devices.
