A question: What could the reason possibly be for a DECbridge900MX to
go to sleep when pinged with a packet size over 512 bytes ? A customer
has an eval unit and this symptom is being reported by my local
    engineer.

The bridge's unresponsiveness is remedied by a power reset across the
backplane, but the effect can be triggered again and again.

    Any help appreciated. Thanks...

    Peter

| Please check that the s/w version is v1.4.0 -- if not, you can upgrade
to 1.4.0 from the image defba140.bin on ftp.digital.com, directory
/pub/DEC/hub900/firmware. If it is 1.4.0, retrieve the crash error
    log.
