1432.0. "Probewatch Questions" by STRWRS::KOCH_P (It never hurts to ask...) Thu Sep 15 1994 11:27
I have a problem with Probewatch for Windows. Even thought I've spoken
with Colorado support, I don't know if I got my question answered. I
don't have access to the software until Monday, but hopefully someone
can respond to these questions beforehand since they also includes
questions on HOW the product works.

1.) I need to find out how to automatically translate MAC addresses to
actual text strings. These MAC addresses aren't running TCP/IP, so they
don't have an IP address. However, I can't find in the documentation
how to auto-translate the MAC address to an intelligible text string.

2.) When I do a refresh for the conversation screen when the cursor is
on the screen, it doesn't become a hourglass indicating that work is
going on. This seems counterintuitive to the way normal Windows
    applications work.

3.) If I can't do #1, why can't the list be exported? At least if I
could export, I could run it thru another application to auto-translate
the MAC addresses to the node name text string.
