I've read the README.TXT for PROBEwatch. My customer has Pathworks V4.1
running on their clients. It says that the install procedure will
install the TCP/IP stack, but how will that affect my customer's
    Pathworks PC?

If they are using Pathworks with IP it should work, I think; if they
are using the DECnet version of Pathworks they need to upgrade to 5.x
(where x=0A if they are using Workgroup for Windows, and x=1 otherwise)
in order to run both DECnet and IP at the same time.

| PROBEwatch, like HUBwatch, needs the Pathworks V5.x IP stack. So
you will have to do STOPNET, STARTNET to switch between stacks.
