Has anyone got HUBwatch for windows BL14 to work?
I have tried to install it a couple of times now, but I can't get the
database to work.
I have BL11 working fine and have installed it several times, but can't
see what the problem is with BL14.
I am using the shim packet driver stuff with pathworks over decnet.
ping works fine, but when I start HUBwatch I get lots of database
errors like:
Raima Data Manager SYSTEM error:-907
database TAF/log file error
C errno = 5:
DLL: Raima Data Manager 3.21A
I get four of those and then
Object Manager error:
First Open Failed
Then
Raima Data Manager USER error: -4
invalid database
C errno =5:
DLL:Raima Data Manager 3.21A
then a stack more errors..
I have tried resettting the database and rebuilding it, but haven't
yet found a way to fix this....
Any cluse?
thanks,
Mike

| 258.1 | try deleteing the old files before installing new | EMDS::SEAVER | Bill Seaver, HUBwatch Mktg | Wed Jun 02 1993 21:36 | 2 |
Did you delete the old HUBWATCH directory before you added the Beta 14.
An overwrite does not seem to work.

re: .1
Yes I have now tried copying the files again deleting the directory
but I still get the same problem.
If the files in that directory work for others, then maybe it could
be some kind of configuration error on the pc?
I just tried loading HUBwatch from the same floppy onto a 450MT and it
worked fine. When I do the same thing on my 316 it fails. Yet I had
BL11 working on my PC just fine....
Ok I just figured it out. I shut down decnet and now it works like a
charm...it must be a memory problem I think...
thanks,
Mike

| 258.3 | Looks like ship does not work with 316 | EMDS::SEAVER | Bill Seaver, HUBwatch Mktg | Sun Jun 13 1993 21:59 | 2 |
HUBwatch is not guaranteed to work with a 316. The SPD specifies a
325. I expect it ran out of gas, esp with the shim.
