    What is enterprise specific-trap 4?
    
    I keep getting this from a dual HUB with bridge and 9 90Ts very often.
    I've set the trap address as a VMS MCC station and the alarms comes in
    there.
    
    It sounds like a problem with the HUB, but cannot make out the
    specific-trap 4?
    
    Can anyone shed some light?

    This is a hub topology change trap (the only enterprise-specific trap
    the DENMA currently generates).  Anytime something changes in the hub
    (like a port status, adding/deleting modules, etc.) this trap is
    generated.

    I can get this trap by removing a module , but not by changing the
    status of a 10base2 port on a DECrepeater 90c - should this generate
    one ?
    
    I can get a coldstart trap also.

    No, not yet.  Currently, the hub topology change trap is generated only
    when communities and modules are added and deleted or a community
    changes size.
    
    Other traps generated by the DECagent 90 are generic traps: coldStart,
    warmStart, and authenticationFailure.
