| 1026.2 | does this help ? | WOTVAX::16.194.208.3::warder.reo.dec.com::sharkeya | Who am I now ? | Wed Apr 23 1997 14:26 | 10 |
| | Sorry. I now use an exchange server which I assume has an electonic diary
that anyone with permissions can access. Schedule+ uses this.
However, I use Outlook from my home PC using ISDN (an extension to easynet)
to get to the server.
I can read my mail but I have no idea how/where to go to get at the diary.

	Schedule+ and Outlook use slightly different scheduling
	mechanisms. You probably want to check out the Outlook
	page at microsoft and the Outlook FAQ.
	http:/www.microsoft.com/outlook
	http://outlook.useast.net/outlook/

	The "diary" is called Calendar in Outlook. You can view your
	appointments and make/create new ones. It can work with
	others that have Schedule+ or you can continue to use
	Schedule+ if you want.
	What specifically is not working? You connect to the Exchange
	Server and you should see your Calendar. You aren't using the
	"Remote Mail" features of the client, are you? That's only
	for retrieving mail. You must have a connection to the
	Exchange Server to work with the Calendars of others. They
	should be able to see your Calendar if you grant them permission.
	I'm still a little mystified as to what you are actually trying
	to accomplish.

| 1026.4 | answer and another question | WOTVAX::16.194.208.3::warder.reo.dec.com::sharkeya | Who am I now ? | Wed Apr 23 1997 18:32 | 11 |
| | OK - I have connected to my exchange server and I can see a diary (or
calender). You were right, I was using remote mail - now I'm not so its OK.
Now, I want to let others view it as well. They have Schedule+. If I set
the options under 'delegate', it doesn't seem to work for the schedule
user. Is it supposed to ? It may be that they need to log out/in again.

	With Outlook, you can view:
	. Other Outlook Users calendar
	. Schedule+ users calendar
	With Schedule+, you can only view other
	Schedule+ users calendars. You cannot view
	Outlook calendars. You CAN however, send
	each other meeting notices, you just can't view.
	I believe this is all gone into in gory detail
	on the Outlook pages I mentioned earlier.
