972.0. "How to move users between Exchange Orgs remotely, via mail" by NETRIX::"[email protected]" (William Michael (Tal)) Wed Apr 02 1997 05:07
--- Example code of a work in progress ---
Scenario: there are 506 remote Exchange clients out there that connect
remotely into one NT Domain / Exchange Org/Site.
Your job is to move them to a new NT Domain / Exchange Org/Site, carrying all
existing mail with each client, and changing the Win95 Networking
configuration on the fly.
Also, the 506 users are not computer literate. You must make this process
fully automatic so that the only thing they have to do is run a program (or
two in this case.)
Check out this program. It is a bizarre one. And consider posting your own
solutions out on this web server as well. That's what it's here for.
Currently, the web server has all of the client code required to move users
(the hard part), the easy part, account moves - extract/import, is still being
worked on.
