| 943.1 | Delete Windows95 Password File | NQOS01::rdodial_port13.32.81.16.in-addr.arpa::ATKINS | [email protected] | Wed Mar 19 1997 20:50 | 8 |
| | I had a simular problem with this message. I found on Technet that you could
correct this problem by deleting the c:\windows\xxxxxxx.pwl Windows password
file. The next time you start WIN95 it makes you reenter your password.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
Steve

| 943.2 | I'm on Windows NT V4.0 SP2 (Intel) | THEBAY::WIEGLEB | Voracious schools of lottery girls | Wed Mar 19 1997 22:14 | 7 |
| | One pertinent piece of info I neglected to mention is that I am running
    the Exchnage client on a Windows NT V4.0 SP2 intel system. Unfortunately,
    this leaves me without a pwl file to delete to fix the problem.

    Thanks anyway.  Anyone else?

| 943.3 | Does POP access work at all ? | tunsrv2-tunnel.imc.das.dec.com::foster | Stan Foster - [email protected] | Thu Mar 20 1997 03:45 | 4 |
| | Does the POP access work with another POP client like Eudora or the
Internet Mail client (just trying to narrow down where the problem
is). I know the authentication syntax for the POP login is strange -
what are you using to authenticate ?.

| 943.4 | I'll test with some other clients | THEBAY::WIEGLEB | Voracious schools of lottery girls | Thu Mar 20 1997 18:55 | 8 |
| | I've got Innosoft PMDF V5.1 (Feb 97 update) as my POP3 server into
    VMSmail. I haven't yet tried other POP3 clients. My goal was to test
    Exchange as a POP3 client. I'll try using the Internet Mail portion of
    MS Internet Explorer to see if it behaves any differently.

    Thanks,
