|     I tried to re-install the Exchange client - and it made no difference.
    
    I suspect that the bits that Office 97 installed were later than the
    client for Exchange Server, so the reinstall did not reinstall
    anything.
    
    I ended up removing Exchange, *then* reinstalling it, and it nearly
    works fine.
    
    Only problem I have seen is that when I double-click on a mail address
    in Internet Explorer, I get a messagebox from Microsoft Outlook saying
    (cryptically): "Can't create the item."
