| Yes, I saw that advertisement at the recent Atari '90 fair. Whilst I
don't really care about it one way or another, it struck me as a very
strange stance to take to try and sell a new game product by showing
how it will encourage kids to skive off school. Also the scenes where
the kid is feverishly mopping his brow with the lavatory roll, I'm sure
put in to show the level of excitement these games provide, smacked to
me of the addictive quality of the product. I was reminded of the anti
heroin ads where you see some poor kid curled up in the cubicle
desperately giving himself another fix.
The end result is that I thought the ad to be poorly thought out and
slightly distasteful.
Like I said at the start though I am all for computers and electronic
games and do not wish to appear to be taking some moral stance about
the advert. To me it was just strange and left me thinking that Atari
could have done a LOT better.

| I don't know what commercial you saw but I saw the one where the kid
asks to go to the bathroom and goes there to play his Lynx.
I think the problem with the commercial is they should be aiming for a
higher age group. What 12 year old has $180 to buy a Lynx?
Yes, they could have done better but atleast they showed the screen for
awhile so people could see what it really looks like.

| So when exactly are these 20 new games coming out fo the Lynx? I should
be getting a Lynx in about a week. Don't you think $35 for a game is a
bit expensive?
