| I haven't got a list handy for a few days, but when I have, I'll
post it here. For the meantime, bVs, the Berkshire Viewdata Service
keeps a fairly long list of local (and therefore cheaper) BBS boards.
Their number is (0734) 875560, but unfortunately they use the old
Prestel 1200/75 7-E-1. You could however try the terminal in County
(Shire) Hall reception, or your local library. The keyword is *MICRO#.

| Whilst I don't have it with me at the moment I have a list of about 20
BBS numbers for the London area. I'll try and remember to drag it in
and post it here. Some of them are very good. U sually when you log
onto a BBS there will be a facility to list other BBS's on a national/
international basis. Certainly the London BBS's have this on offer.
Leave it with me, I'll see what I can come up with

There you go, a few numbers to be going on with. As I said before, most
boards have lists of other boards.
Let me tell you, this game (of BBS-ing) is *ADDICTIVE* and your phone
bill might go through the roof !!! Its great fun though and really puts
a new dimension into using your Atari.
If anyone knows any other good BBS numbers. Do put them here.
We could use this notes as a BBS discussion.

| I can recommend the Scary MonSTer BBS, the only ST BBS in Berkshire (for
people in the Reading area who like to keep their phone bils down). I know
the sysop Andy Inman very well (he's fixing my ST power supply at the
moment!).

| Erm ... I promised to post a list of UK BBS boards, but have run into a
snag. The list was on a Reading Service called GOLLY, but in ZIP
format. If someone could give me a pointer to a utility on the Net to
de-archive these files, then I can keep my promise.

| Can anyone update these numbers after all these years ? Especially
those 01 numbers. Are they now 071 or 081 ? Is monSTer still on Reading
320297 ? I used to like this one, but I can't get through tonight.
I've just a Modem again (9600 !) so I feel the bug coming on again.
