I'm a new ATARI 1040ST user and I have a little problem.
In what manner can I dowload file for my ATARI from the E-NET.
I suppose that the computer (ATARI) should be connected to
terminal server port via serial connector & cable. But for
work properly, I think that must be a program running on
ATARI.
Is this exact ?
And if yes, what is the appropriate program and where it can be
founded ?
If anyone can help me, I'm gracefully for every my life (and so,
if is possible...)
Many thanks & kiss.
Gian

Oh boy! A new Atari user! Start by reading PRNSYS::DUA1:[LOMICKAJ.HOBBY.ST]XFERINTRO.TXT, it covers some of the most important facts and pitfalls, and directs you toward the needed programs for file transfer. Also, putting in a plug for my own work, read topic 3 about "Whack". Whack's file ST to/from VMS file transfer is the fastest around - typically 204bytes/sec of error checked binary data on a 2400 baud line. Someday I'm going to write a Whack user manual... | |||||
