    Still no release date for the STE ??? Any specifications available?
    
    All I know is that it will be capable of displaying 256 colours
    from a palette of 4096, have a GOOD sound chip, be compatible with
    existing ST software.
    
    And now for the crunch; what is the price likely to be ???
    
    (if you quote dollars, could you also quote the current price of
    the ST for comparison ???)

    I've heard some more ...
    
    It'll retail at 399 UK Pounds.
    
    Four channel stereo sound.
    
    VERY fast hardware scrolling.

    256 out of 4096?? I wonder howthe grahics,animation and sound compare

    If you get ST Format mag, they have some info on the new system:
    
    
    	It will retail at 399.99 pounds
    	It will have 256 colours from 4096
    	It will have as standard a double sided floopy
    	It has fast hard scrolling
    	It is upward compatitable with the older series
    	It has 4 channel stereo sound
    	The screen and colours will not be a burden on the processor
    	as the Amiga.
    	It still has a 68000 8 Mhz chip
    
    	Well thats all I can remember ---  Cant wait to buy one !
