    This just started happening this morning -- yesterday everything was
    fine...

    The mouse seems to be acting normally. Movement correctly moves the
    pointer around. And, clicking and double-clicking work OK. But, I
    cannot get the menu bar to work. And, I cannot re-size a window.

    It looks like the application doesn't know where the borders of the
    window are. When I press and hold on the re-size thingy and then move,
    I get the same kind of dotted line rectangle that I would get if I were
    doing it in the middle of the window (the selection rectangle).

    When I hold down the left button over a menu bar item, I get a bunch of
    dashes (-'s). [This when running 1st word.]

    Ideas?

    Did you check out if your backup of 1stWORD showed the same symptoms
    ??

| 452.2 | It's now working... | DDIF::BRAMHALL | Mark Bramhall | Mon May 15 1989 13:37 | 6 |
| Well, after everything rested a while and I re-plugged everything, it
    is now working again. Sigh, I hate things that magically do not work
    and then start working again...

    I did check my backup copy, etc. Everything was failing with the same
    symptoms.  Oh, well...
