I have just acquired my very first PC, an ST1040, and with it about
one million questions. But just one question for now.
I have First Word Plus which will accept Degas .PI3 files. I also
have Degas Elite. But Degas Elite insists on producing .PC3 files
instead of .PI3 files, and First Word Plus cannot cope with that.
Any suggestions please?

Drop the menus down, one of them has a selection for toggleing
compression on and off, with it off you get .PI3 on a hi rez system.

I note that one of the improvements in Publishing Partner Pro.
is supposed to be the ability to import PC3 files. We'll see...
Got a card from them kinda appoligizing for what they sent: "we sent
a beta version cuz so many people wanted to try the new features"
type of weasel wording. They have hurt their reputation, and they
