| 20.1 | Check out Computer Music Conf. | KYOA::MURRAY |  | Wed Apr 06 1988 09:50 | 10 |
| | This topic is discussed a number times in the Computer Music
Conference, NOVA::COMMUSIC (Hit KP7 to add to your notebook). The
consensus over there seems to be that Dr T's KCS (~$200) program is the
best all around ST MIDI program. I personally own Dr. T's MRS, which
is the baby brother of the KCS and the features it has for the price
    (~$40) are quite amazing.

    Good luck.

1 Were you aware of the Commusic notesfile. I haven't read it for
the last couple of days so you may well have posted there as well.
That is a file pretty much dedicated to the use of Midi and Computer
    Music in general.

2 One of the meetings which has grown out of the Commusic noters
file is a meeting occasionally held in the Reading/Basingtoke area
which is called for historic reasons BERKS-BUM. If you read the
commusic file you will realise why. This is an excuse for getting
together and discussing just the sort of topic you have raised here.

No one can easily answer your question on what is or isn't the best
sequencer for your use. There are lots of good seqeuncers about
all with a slightly different accent on use and capability. I think
you need to document your requierements and then ask the question
again. Based on that, you may get an answer which would be helpful
    rather than generic.

                                     Paul

Kev,
I assume that PRO-12 is public domain ?? If not then you'd better
withdraw your offer to copy it, as you will find yourself in trouble
with the moderators (and several other people) for breaking Digital
rules on using a conference to encourage illegal activities.
I hate to sound heavy (man), but this is a serious matter.
Cheers,
    Derek.
P.S. If it is PD then I'll have a copy :-)
