    DIGITAL RESPONSE:

According to Engineering, this problem is corrected
    	    in OpenVMS Alpha V7.0.

Does anyone know or have any suggestions on what might be going here
or what else we could try or check to get the "show service"
functionality to work sepecifically with tape.

MADDRIVER was not supported in the initial release of Alpha OpenVMS
V6.2. Due to a compiler bug, I had to split MADDRIVER into two
modules. This was documented in the release notes. The MADDRIVER
support was made available in the remedial steam. There have been
a number of fixes since. I will provide an updated kit soon.

The current latest kit is ALPLAD03_070. Should be available through
    your support center.
