V1 of the DIGITAL InfoServer Client for Windows NT is available.
V1 supports InfoServer CD-ROM services only. WNT 4.0 is required.
The kit can be retrieved using a web browser from the following location:
http://dtb13.shr.dec.com/InfoServer/wnt_client/v10/
or copy from
tape::ess:[public.ess.kit.wnt_client_v1]
The kit consists of three files:
README.TXT - Installation instructions, etc. (Don't try to
install or use the product without reading this first)
INTELV1.EXE - Self-extracting executable for Intel based systems.
ALPHAV1.exe - Self-extracting executable for Alpha based systems.
Please report your comments, suggestions, and problems in this notes
conference.

| 2192.1 | Problem with Alpha install | TMCUKA::ROWELL | Paul Rowell @BBP | Tue Feb 11 1997 05:18 | 10 |
I tried installing this on an AlphaServer 400 with NT V4.0 Workstation
and am getting the following message on boot:
Deccore.sys device driver could not be loaded Error Status 0xc000007b
This causes all the other services to fail.
Do I need a specific service pack or something?

| 2192.2 | One of lifes mysteries | TMCUKA::ROWELL | Paul Rowell @BBP | Wed Feb 12 1997 08:22 | 4 |
Just a quick note to say that the problem reported in .1 was "fixed" by
deinstalling as per the README and reinstalling.
