| | I hope your Boaz comes home soon. Often cats are away for
longer than this. Please let us know how things are going.
Another thing to try is leaving copies of your posters with your
neighbors, including your phone number, and alerting the local
children. Also posters to local vets' offices.

| | My heart breaks for you...but all fingers and paws are crossed.
You might also want to go directly to the shelter and take
a look around yourself. Many times when a person describes
their cat...there are many cats that might fit that description.

There are some success stories in this file about finding lost
cats after months...so please keep your hopes up! Keep us posted....

| | Nancy, I live around that area, I will keep my eyes open.

Another thing you could do is ask the neighborhood kids, there are
alot of schools around that area.

    Good Luck!

| 5082.6 | a success story! | CIMNET::GLADDING | Noters do it with a 8-) | Wed Nov 27 1991 11:23 | 21 |
| | My friend, Kathie, just went through what you're going through.
Her indoor-only kittie, Callie, snuck outside one day, and they
went through putting ads in the paper, telling the neighborhood
kids, checking the neighbor's garages/basements, etc.

A whole month went by. One night Kathie pulled into her
driveway, and THOUGHT she spotted Callie. When the lights
shined on her, she ran away. The next day, she put a cage out
and within two days after that - she caught Callie!!

Callie was a little thin and ragged - but pretty much in
good health. Boy, was Kathie glad to find her baby!!

So, don't give up hope! And the cage idea might not be a
bad one. Some kitties that aren't used to being outside might
be very disoriented, and don't really know where home is.
Callie knew what food was, though, and was able to be trapped
    and reunited with her family.

    Hoping for the best,
    Pam

| 5082.7 | I'll watch for her, too | WECARE::GERMANN |  | Wed Nov 27 1991 12:33 | 10 |
| | Nancy,

I am often in that area. I'll keep a look-out for her, too.

When Madison first came to us, she disappeared more times than I could
count. We always found her through the found ads in the Union Leader.

Sure hope she comes home soon. Our thoughts are with you.

| | Putting food out might be a good idea, although you couldn't tell if it
was Boaz or some other cat or animal eating it....
