Hi all,
Yesterday, I came home from work and saw that the cushion on my
wicker chair was soaked. It is outside on my screened in porch
so I first assumed it was water. But I smelt it and knew it
wasn't water but urine. Callie, my calico was out in the porch
(she loves it out there) and my husband didn't come home at
his usual time (came home a little later) and Callie must have
had to go bad and just went. Anyhow, she urinated so much that
it went through the thick cushion, through the wicker chair and
onto the floor. My husband took some liquid soap (Dawn) and
sprayed the cushion and chair. Today it's almost dry but I
can still smell it. Is there anything I can do to get the smell
out? I'd hate to have to throw the chair away.
Thanks
Chris_Callie_&_Domino

Yes, drench it in an enyzme-based product for this that you can get in
a pet store. Nature's Miracle is a good one. be prepared for it to
smell even worse while the product acts and it dries, which can take up
to a week or more for the cushion.
If Callie continues to have a problem, you should make a vet trip to
have her checked for a urinary tract infection.

Odormute has very little smell and works great. I don't have the
address of the manufacturer on me, but will add it to this note when I
do. It's saved my sanity many times.
By the way, it wipes out skunk spray smell as well, and doesn't harm
either plants or pets.
