To all who are interested, Tequi or TIKI is adorable; such a little
lady. We've been together since Saturday afternoon and she has
progressed beautifully. Last night and this morning she chattered
away -- all during our morning together (I awake at 5:30a.m. to enjoy
the morning and leave the apartment at 7:30a.m.). Instead of purring
she sort of chirps (real cute) and has explored every nook and cranny
of her new abode. In the beginning, she was, of course, extremely
cautious and didn't speak to me at all. She did observe me a great
deal and I came across as non-threatening as possible. The following
day she came over and deliberately "touched" me, I responded by gently
touching her; later she came over and inspected the cup of tea I was
drinking, I let her alone. That evening we watched a movie together --
she sat approx. a foot from me. The next day, after her breakfast, she
sat next to me and began to chat .... I chatted back .... she touched
my cup and jumped back to observe what I'd do .... I just spoke to her
in very soft low tones. Now we are buddies! Like I said, she's
adorable and I can't wait to see her this evening.

| It warms my heart to hear the wonderful story. I am so glad Tequila
found you, Rosemary! The best to you both. We'll have to share
pictures of her sometime. Perhaps you can come to the next FELINERS
party so that I may meet the adopted parent. ;')
