| | Dogpatch, Gilson Rd., Nashua (off 111) does both cats and dogs. As
to cost, it depends on just how badly matted Chloe is and also,
they'll probably have to shave the matted fur off if too painful to
    comb out.

I had to have one of mine done a long time ago when I first got her
and she had to have her abdomen shaved down to the skin. I was
required to stay during the work and assist in holding her while
groomer worked on her. Everything was fine and no problems. I highly
recommend Dogpatch for cats or dogs in the Nashua area.

    Good luck.
    Pat

Write Barbara Ives off-line (she's home today). She takes her
Ragdoll, Mocha, to an excellent groomer in the Nashua area. He always
looks gorgeous when he comes home and they are very good with cats.
Mocha is a brat to groom and they always say he is no problem at all
(Barbara thinks they are talking about the wrong cat :^))!

| 4778.4 | Otis went to one in Leominster | ICS::ANDERSON_M |  | Tue Jul 09 1991 14:29 | 19 |
| | I live in Leominster so I don't know anything about the Nashua area,
but Otis was matted badly under one arm, under his chin and at the base
of one leg. Brought him to a groomer in Leominster and had him shaved
everywhere except his tail and face. He was a bit embarrassed (we had
to praise him and tell him constantly how handsome and beautiful he was)
but within two days he pranced around like he was God's gift to the
world. He was so much cooler and much more comfortable.

He is due for another shave (next week) and I may make this a
permanent thing. They said he was wonderful and he loved all the
attention while they groomed him. They did not use a blow dryer
on him - they would work on him for about 20 minutes, he would
get fussy and they would put him in a playpen for a half hour or
so...while he air dried. Then take him out and work on him for another
20 minutes or so. Then also clipped his nails. It was an all day affair
and it cost me $38.00 - which was well worth it!
